Ms. Dell works with global companies on major project developments and corporate strategies with an emphasis on Sustainable Water Management, Adaptation to Climate Change and Low Carbon Energy.
Ms. Dell is a chemical engineer (M.S. University of California at Berkeley) with over 20 years of experience on energy and water projects extending across more than 40 countries. Much of that experience has been in China, Indonesia, Canada, the Mid East and other regions with water supply constraints. Ms. Dell began her career with Chevron in research and development of enhanced oil recovery techniques. From 1987 to 1991, Ms. Dell was based in Asia and worked with national and private oil/gas companies on water injection and produced water treatment systems in onshore and offshore developments. She has also worked with multinational clients in the chemical, manufacturing, food, beverage, footwear, apparel, and entertainment industries to implement sustainable business practices in their business operations, their communities and their supply chains.
In 2007, Ms Dell led the creation of the Global Water Tool for the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD). The free and easy-to-use tool enables companies to map their water use (or that of their supply chain) with local availability water conditions including access to safe drinking water and adequate sanitation. The Global Water Tool has become the global standard and is used by over 200 companies to measure their water footprint and map their risks.
